Covid-19 Policies
Reopening New York
On July 6th, 2020, the Governor has set forth guidelines for regions that have reached our surpassed Phase 3. The attached document, entitled “Reopening New York”, goes into detail the Mandatory and Recommended Best Practices guidelines in order to run the summer sessions as safely as possible, for both players and staff. Please review and refer to the “Reopening New York” document to familiarize yourself with the specifics and details of the state guidelines. Our staff and trainers will do the best to our ability to follow these guidelines. In addition, we are also implementing the policies below.
DROP OFF PROCEDURES
Prior to drop-off, it is highly recommended a health check is complete at home. Note that hand sanitizers will be available at all times. Below are the mandatory procedures we will be following:
- If your child has any sign of sickness (i.e., coughing, sneezing, fatigue, trouble breathing, chills, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, paleness, skin rashes, swelling), please keep them home.
- At drop-off, your child should arrive with a mask, and a bag with the following items:
* Water cooler, water jug or water bottles (using the public fountain is NOT recommended)
* Sunscreen or sunblock (optional)
* Snacks (optional)
* Extra T-shirt
* Extra pair of sneakers / cleats
- At drop-off, players under 10 years of age may walk down with a parent or guardian to check in. Players that are 10 years or older are encouraged to check in independently whenever possible, to maximize social distancing.
- Parents, family members, or spectators are not allowed near the training area or on the field, to ensure extra safety measures for players and staff.
- Upon arrival, a staff member will take the player’s temperature prior to entering the training area. The player will only be allowed to join and participate if no fever is found.
TRAINING SESSION PROCEDURES
During the session, players and staff will adhere to the following protocols:
- Players will be guided to their own training space, which will be outlined and set up prior to the start time.
- Players will use their own space and equipment (ball, cones, goals) to the fullest extent possible.
- Players may not share sunscreen, water, water jugs, bottles or snacks of any kind. During breaks, players should abide by social distancing measures, and/or wear a face covering.
- Upon completion of the session, players are encouraged to use a mask when returning to the parking lot to be picked up.
PICK UP PROCEDURES
For pick up, parents are encouraged to wait in their cars in the parking lot for campers. If parents would like to pick up their child from the field, they must follow these guidelines:
- Parents must wait by the check-in table, and maintain social distance (set by cones).
- For everyone’s safety, no parent or adult is permitted to go down to the field at any time.
REFUND POLICY
Due to the uncertainty of the situation, the following refund policies will be enforced:
- Refunds will not be issued if cancelled or postponed for any reason, this includes closure due to Covid-19. Instead, credit will be applied to each player for any week that needs to be made up.
- Weather related cancelations or make ups will be decided on a weekly basis.
